Summary: The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides skilled support for physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT). This role works with home health patients to improve mobility, strength, function, and independence, while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Provide skilled physical therapy interventions, exercises, and patient education in the home setting
  • Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to supervising PT
  • Ensure compliance with home health regulations, physician orders, and documentation standards
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and operations teams to support patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives as directed
  • Perform other clinical or administrative duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or completion of accredited PTA program required
  • Current state licensure/certification as a PTA
  • 1–3 years clinical experience in home health, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings preferred
  • Ability to follow PT treatment plans, perform interventions, and document patient progress
  • Knowledge of home health regulations and documentation standards
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability during business hours with occasional after-hours/weekend coverage

Hours: PRN, Pay-per-visit

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 hourly
